I have applied for a telecom engineer job recently and got the response that I was ‘not ready’.
I guess I am not ready for a job in a telecom company, I had a problem.
What is a telecom engineering job?
Well it is a job where you are responsible for a small team of engineers working on a wide range of technology problems.
A telecom engineer is a software engineer, that means that they are responsible to build software, hardware and software applications for telecom companies.
The job description is simple, the job involves designing and building software for the telecom companies networks.
You should have an understanding of networking protocols and how they work.
You need to have experience working with and using Microsoft operating systems and Windows operating systems.
You have to have knowledge of networking technologies and know how to design software to be able to communicate with other computers.
You also need to know the basics of computer security.
You are expected to have an open attitude and a desire to learn more about technology.
It is also expected that you are a computer literate person.
What about my resume?
My resume has a few sections on tech skills.
For example, I am a big fan of Java and Microsoft Windows.
I have worked with both and can speak fluent English.
I am also very interested in technology.
I would like to learn how to build a software application for the telco.
The application has to be developed for a single technology and must have a clear business purpose.
So, what is a tech resume?
A tech resume is a resume that is a concise and well thought out document.
It is an overview of the current technology used in the company.
A good tech resume should have the following elements: 1.
An overall job description and a summary of what you have worked on. 2.
A description of the company, the technology and the application.
3.
A statement of job duties and responsibilities.
4.
An explanation of the application development process and how it is carried out.
5.
A section on any technical challenges you have faced during your job.
6.
A brief description of any other relevant experience that you have had in your job that could be helpful in understanding the technology you are applying for.
7.
A resume that includes some examples of your work and your qualifications.
8.
A link to your LinkedIn profile and any relevant links in the online directory that can be of help in understanding how your skills relate to the company you are working for.
