Verizon Wireless Communications Chief Communications Office (CCO) Ken Miller resigned after it was revealed that he had sent sexually explicit text messages to a former employee.
The text messages were sent on February 14, 2016 and were uncovered by The New York Times.
Miller’s wife, Kimberly, had left her job at Verizon Wireless in early February and he had been looking for a new job.
Miller did not immediately respond to ESPN’s request for comment.
Miller also received a six-figure bonus for leaving Verizon Wireless.
